Anzatan Commonwealth - Member Profile: Gabriel Pierce

Gabriel has burnt orange skin and light blue eyes. He has a rather large scar on his back that comes from a run-in with a rancor he had after a smuggling operation gone wrong, although this is almost never seen by others. He always dresses in the traditional attire of a smuggler, and he carries a blaster around with him everywhere he goes, regardless of the appropriateness of the situation. He is cautious due to the illicit nature of his dealings; his smuggling has made him both wary of the Empire and vindictive at how mercilessly they hunt him, fueling his desire to combat them via his underground dealings. He resents the existence of the Empire, and he isn't afraid to express that opinion when challenged to it, although he will never do so in a way that draws too much attention to himself. Despite his outward callousness, he truly is a hopeless romantic and believes in love and such. He also loves his friends and crew like family, in part because the Empire has killed all of the family he really has. He takes pride in his Iktotchi origins.

Character Description

Gabriel began smuggling at 20 when his mother fell ill and his father fell to Imperial troops raiding his planet in search of "leftovers." His family needed the money, and it was the only way he could support them. Unfortunately, early on in his smuggling career, the Imperials embarked on a second raid when he was away on a spice run to the Outer Rim. His mother and sister were raped and murdered in this raid, and Gabriel came back with a deep-seeded hatred of the Empire. He began to immerse himself in his career to combat his emptiness from the loss of his family. He grew close to his crew throughout this time, and he became one of the top freighter pilots in the entire galaxy. He began to supply rebel forces directly with top-tier weaponry in an act of direct rebellion. Also, he picked up various medical techniques along the way, becoming a supremely talented medic in addition to an expert smuggler. During his last mission to date, his entire crew aside from him was killed when they were shot down en route to a supply drop at a rebel hideout. He made it out unscathed, but has to start from scratch again. His talents and feats have drawn the attention of the Empire, and has pushed him to the forefront of the most wanted individuals fighting for the rebel cause.
